March 18, effective immediately, the following restrictions on travel to the Republic of Turkey are in effect:
Unofficial travel (regular leave, liberty, and special pass) to or within the Republic of Turkey is prohibited through April 30, 2016. The First General Officer/Flag Officer in the chain of command (or SES equivalent), may approve a waiver to this prohibition.
Official travel to the Republic of Turkey requires approval from the First General Officer/Flag Officer in the chain of command (or SES equivalent).
Effective immediately, emergency leave travel to the Republic of Turkey requires approval from the first o-6 commander in the DoD member’s chain of command. Travel requests and approval coordination will be submitted and routed through the traveler’s chain of command.
