This year National POW/MIA Recognition Day, which is always observed on the third Friday in September, falls on September 18th.
The day honors those who were prisoners of war and those who never returned home.
In recognition of those service members, VFW Post 10810 laid a wreath on the Patch Barracks POW/MIA Memorial.
