Post Access Changes Beginning Aug. 12

By USAG Stuttgart Public Affairs

Post Access Update: Beginning close of business, Friday, Aug. 12 and until further notice, visiting American citizens requiring unescorted access to USAG Stuttgart will require a National Crime Information Center check (NCIC) prior to arrival. The change does not affect local nationals who require a Good Conduct Check (GCC) from German authorities.

This means if you have a family member or friend that plans to stay on post with you, they must arrive with a completed NCIC check. If the person does not have an NCIC, Installation Access Control (IACS) cannot provide unescorted access, and the they will not be able to stay on post overnight or without escort. An NCIC check can be obtained, generally same day, from a stateside police department or courthouse, and are valid for one year.

Escorted access is unaffected.
