Panzerstraße will be fully closed this weekend for final construction of cycle bridge

The construction work on the bridge for the cycle patch between Böblingen and Stuttgart will finally be completed at the end of June. However, the Böblingen district administration office reports that Panzerstraße will have to be closed again.

A final closure between Waldburgstraße and Bunsenstraße is required to dismantle the supporting scaffolding that was necessary to build the bridge and to remove the lane narrowing, according to a press release.

The closure will begin on Friday, June 27, at 8 p.m. and end on Monday, June 30, at 5 a.m. Access to the city’s gardening center’s entrance will remain open.

Coming from the Mineraltherme Böblingen going towards Schoenaich, traffic will be re-routed via Böblingen. Coming from Schönaich, traffic will be routed from the traffic circle in the town center via Rauhen Kapf to Böblingen. The detours will be signposted. The local Lions’ Club Böblingen District offers free entrance at their “charity swim event” at Boeblingen Freibad (Outdoor Swimming Pool) from June 23 to 28

If you would like to take part in the “Charity swim event”, simply tell the ticket office at the entrance at the BB outdoor swimming pool located at Silberweg 14, 71032 BB
and you get free entrance from June 23 to 28. Their opening hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You don't have to register. Böblingen district city cycling starts in a few days

All 26 municipalities in the Böblingen district are taking part in a city cycling event beginning in a few days. The event is becoming more and more popular every year. Some of the distances covered are impressive.

In just a few days, it's time to pedal hard again. On Sunday, June 29, the city cycling event begins in the Böblingen district. For three weeks, citizens are called upon to collect as many bike kilometers as possible.
This is the ninth time that municipalities from the Böblingen district have taken part in the city cycling competition. This is a nationwide campaign initiated by the Climate Alliance association and sponsored by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport. The idea is to encourage as many people as possible to switch from car to bike - for climate protection and for their own health.

Cycle along: Anyone can take part; all kilometers cycled are counted, whether with or without an electric bike. To take part, team members must live, work, be active in a club or attend a university or school in one of the municipalities taking part in the city cycling event. Registration takes place via the homepage www.stadtradeln.de/landkreis-boeblingen.

Kick-off and tours: On June 29, an action day with guided bike tours will take place at the cycle stadium in Gäufelden-Öschelbronn. The local ADFC groups also offer guided tours during the city cycling event.

This year, a total of 43 events are on the program at Sommer am See. More than half - 23 in number - are free of charge.
From July 21 to 25, the event space next to the boathouse will once again be transformed into a home for brass music - this time with the Böblingen town band, the Grafenau music association and the Dagersheim fire department band, among others.

The popular Zuffenhäuser Fleckenfest will take place from June 27 to 30. It inspires people to celebrate, experience and enjoy together. 950 years of Weil der Stadt - All information about the big anniversary town festival

What was written down on parchment with pen and ink 950 years ago is causing all kinds of celebrations in numerous municipalities at Weil der Stadt and the districts of Münklingen, Merklingen and Hausen, like several other towns in the region, were first mentioned in the so-called Hirsau Form in 1075. The anniversary will be celebrated - one after the other in each of the affected districts. It all starts in the town center: a big town festival will be held here on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. The spectacle will be officially opened on Saturday at 11 a.m. on the market square stage. The citizens' guard, the fanfare band, the local heritage association and the Weiler twin town of Riquewihr will be there. On both festival days, the historic Türmerstube in the church of St. Peter and Paul can be visited between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
