U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart Public Affairs Office
The Army, along with the other military branches, has just launched a new website dedicated to helping service members, Department of Defense civilians and their families with home finding services.
The new site, www.homes.mil, was released Dec. 13, 2014.
To search for off-post listings, type in the installation name in the Find Properties field. You may search for rent amount, bathrooms, bedrooms, cities, and amenities.
Those relocating to U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart can also find representative family housing floor plans available on the site. Just follow the Housing Office link at the top right of the homepage, enter Stuttgart, then select the Visit Website link located at the bottom right of the page, then select Stuttgart from the drop down list.
Service members and DOD civilian employees who are overseas are required to report to the Housing Services Office at their new duty stations before making arrangements to rent, lease, or purchase off-post housing. They are further advised not to send monetary deposits for housing prior to contacting the HSO.
