Stay positive in transition with Resiliency Training

Learning how to bounce back in the face of challenges and thrive going forth, especially during a transition such as a PCS-in or out, is a vital skill set that service members and their families receive training on.

Training is open to not only those in-processing to Stuttgart, but to every ID cardholder in the Stuttgart military community at no cost.

Resiliency Training is offered weekly on Panzer Kaserne Building 2915, Room 222 during Stuttgart in-processing sessions; Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 9 a.m. each day.

7 out of 14 Resiliency skills are taught to include:

  1. Hunt the Good Stuff
  2. Energy Management
  3. Avoid Thinking Traps
  4. Put it in Perspective
  5. Real Time Resilience
  6. Assertive Communication
  7. Active Constructive Responding

These are extremely valuable skills that can be used in the work place, at home with family and with friends building on six competencies to be used as tools for success:

  1. Self-regulation
  2. Self-awareness
  3. Optimism
  4. Mental Agility
  5. Strengths of Character
  6. Connection Skills

It’s not about taking control of every aspect of our lives, because there are some things that we cannot control – e.g. orders to Germany, it’s about how we react.
