Panzer Commissary parking restrictions enforced

Story by USAG Stuttgart Public Affairs

Until November all traffic leaving Panzer Kaserne is being routed past the Panzer Commissary and out of the back gate. New parking restrictions have been installed at the site to ensure the safety of patrons.

Customers have regularly parked outside of the designated parking bays at the Panzer Commissary because of the limited number of spaces available. However, according to DES, illegal parking and the increase of cars using these roads is impeding traffic and could be a danger to pedestrians.

All no parking areas have been delineated by signs (pictured) and the surrounding areas have been taped off to indicate where parking enforcement measures will be applied. MP’s patrols have also been stepped up and citations are being issued at the site.

DES have confirmed that additional signage is being ordered and that parking outside the Commissary will soon become part of the “blue disk” system to prevent over staying. Until then, DES asks for your patience and understanding.

Alternate parking is available outside the shoppette and in the bowling alley car park.
