Host nation fire and emergency services are on the scene of a reported fire which broke out at a property adjacent to Panzer Kaserne in Böblingen at approximately 1 p.m today, Jan. 6.
There is no current threat to life or property on Panzer Kaserne and no impact to gate operations at either Panzer Housing or the main post at this time. However, Herdweg is currently closed beyond the Housing gate and personnel in the area should close windows and limit time outdoors due to the existing smoky conditions.
USAG Stuttgart Fire and Military Police personnel are in the area to provide any necessary support. Always follow the instructions of police officers and first responders directing traffic or maintaining safety cordons.
