There will be a local holiday on Friday, May 1, 2026, for Tag der Arbeit (Labor Day).
This means that some services around the garrison staffed largely by local national professionals will be closed, including: the Army Housing Office, Driver Testing and Training, SATO Travel, Central Issue Facility, POV Vehicle Shipping, POV Inspection/Customer Service Team, Transportation Motor Pool, and the Transportation Office (Household Goods). Vehicle Registration will be serving appointments only, with no walk-in service.
The duty bus will run its regular weekday schedule.
Assume that most places on the economy which are usually closed on Sundays will also be closed on the holiday. This includes off-post grocery and retail stores. Commissaries and the Panzer Main Exchange will operate with normal hours. See the graphic below for adjustments to other Exchange facilities.
