As we get into the busiest part of the holiday season, a number of services will have adjusted hours next week. This page is intended to provide an overview of service closures and adjustments for the Stuttgart military community over the holiday season.
This year, per presidential executive order, Dec. 24 and 26 are holidays for federal employees. Expect most services to adjust operating hours on Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) to 26 (German holiday and additional day off for federal employees) and close on Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) and Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day). Unless otherwise noted, most services are closed.
Dec. 26 and Jan. 6 are also public holidays in Baden-Württemberg, with some on-post services staffed largely by local national professionals closed or adjusted as a result. Service adjustments due to local national holidays are listed in the My Army Post App.
If you are unsure whether a service is open, please call ahead before planning a visit.
Please note the following for Dec. 24 and 26:
- Commissaries will be open, but with reduced hours on Dec. 24.
- Duty buses will run on the Weekend/U.S. Federal Holiday Schedule on Dec. 24 and 26. There is no service on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1.
- The Panzer Main Exchange is closed on Dec. 25. For full Exchange facility holiday hours, please see the “AAFES/Exchange” dropdown below.
- Postal Service Centers (PSCs/CMRs) will open limited hours on Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for package pickup. All APOs are closed.
- The Dental Clinic and its outlying clinics/services will be closed on Dec. 24. If your appointment is affected by this closure, you will be contacted directly to reschedule.
Services operate according to their normal schedules, including regularly scheduled closures, except on days listed. Additional service updates will be added as they are received.

Commissaries
All Commissaries are CLOSED Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Kelley Commissary (special hours)
– Dec. 24: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
– Dec. 27: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Patch Commissary (special hours)
– Dec. 24: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
– Dec. 31: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Panzer Commissary (special hours)
– Dec. 24: 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
– Dec. 31: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Robinson Commissary (special hours)
– Hours are pending confirmation.
Installation Access Control (Directorate of Emergency Services)
Installation Access Control Office – Kelley Barracks
Closed on U.S. federal holidays.
Access or DBIDS-related needs can be addressed at the Panzer Kaserne Installation Access Control Office in Bldg. 2915.
Issuing of temporary escorted visitor passes is unaffected.

The office will be closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1.
Duty Bus
No service on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1.
Service on Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) and Dec. 26 (additional day off for federal employees) is according to the Weekend & U.S. Holiday Schedule. Regular hours on Dec. 31.
Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (Directorate of Family & MWR)
Health Clinic (U.S. Army Health Clinic Stuttgart)
The Stuttgart Army Health Clinic and Dental Clinic and its outlying clinics/services will be closed on Dec. 24. If your appointment is affected by this closure, you will be contacted directly to reschedule. Host nation emergency services remain open 24/7 for medical emergencies.
Housing Office (Directorate of Public Works)
Closed on the following days:
Dec. 24-26 (U.S. and local holidays)
Dec. 31
Jan. 1 (U.S. and local holiday)
Jan. 6 (local holiday)
Law Center
Per the U.S. Army Europe and Africa half-day schedule, the Stuttgart Law Center will close at noon on the following days:
Dec. 22-24 and 29-31.
The Law Center will be closed all day on Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1-2.
Passports (Directorate of Human Resources)
USAG Stuttgart’s Passport Office will be closed Dec. 24-26.
Postal (Directorate of Human Resources)
All Army Post Offices (mail drop-off) are closed on Dec. 24. Postal Service Centers (PSCs/CMRs for mail pickup) will be open limited hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 for package pickup only.
Both PSCs and APOs are closed on Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1.
Vehicle Registration (Directorate of Emergency Services)
The Vehicle Registration Office will be closed on Dec. 24-26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1.
Service Order Desk (Directorate of Public Works)
The Service Order Hotline for emergency requests is available 24/7, 365 days a year at +49 (0) 9641-70-596-6200/ DSN 314-596-6200.
Please be aware that processing of Routine (Priority 3) work orders may be delayed over the holidays. Emergency (Priority 1) and Urgent (Priority 2) work is unaffected.
On-post housing residents can visit the Self-Help stores on Patch and Robinson for a wide array of free maintenance and repair supplies (click for hours, locations, and info).
