Effective July 1, 2022, personnel entering USAG Stuttgart installations (and those across Germany) will need to physically hand over DoD or DBIDS ID cards at access control points instead of holding them out to be scanned at a distance.
ID cards will then be returned to the holders once access is validated. This is the same process which was used prior to the change in response to COVID-19.
