On 14 September 2020 at approx. 3 p.m., the USAG Stuttgart Fire Dept. will conduct fire hydrant flow testing on Panzer Kaserne as part of the Auto Skills Center construction project.
This hydrant testing will require some temporary road closures along Capuzzo Weg from (Bldg. 2914) to the Dental/Veterinary Clinic (Bldg. 2996) as well as a portion of Cramer Weg from the Dental/Veterinary Clinic towards the Patch Elementary School.
While these roads are closed, traffic will be directed through the parking lot between these buildings to access the Patch Elementary School and Dental/Veterinary Clinic. A
portion of this parking lot where water and other debris may land will also be blocked to prevent damage to parked vehicles.
A fire hydrant on Harde Strasse near the Panzer Hotel will also be tested but will not require any road closures. Overall road closures and traffic disruptions are only expected to last about 60-90 minutes.
Motorists should look for direction from the Military Police or Firefighters in the area if unclear on how to proceed during the road closures and hydrant testing.
