On June 14, the U.S. Army celebrates a historic milestone—250 years of honor, strength, and service. The Stuttgart military community has a chance to celebrate locally with an unforgettable Army 250th Birthday Celebration hosted by Stuttgart Family & MWR.
“We’re incredibly proud to host this celebration honoring 250 years of Army excellence right here in Stuttgart,” Outdoor Recreation Director and Chief Celebration Strategist Cory Hoffman said. “It’s a chance for the entire community to come together and enjoy a full day of fun, while reflecting on the legacy of service that unites us all. We can’t wait to see everyone out there making memories and showing their Army pride! You won’t want to miss the amazing activities we’ve planned!”
This family-friendly event honors the legacy of the U.S. Army while celebrating the people who continue to serve with courage and commitment. The day kicks off with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m., followed by a traditional cake-cutting to mark the occasion. From there, the fun begins with a full lineup of entertainment, hands-on activities, and delicious food.
Guests can enjoy live performances, interactive military and historical displays, and opportunities to meet Army veterans.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Families with kids will love the children’s zone, complete with bounce houses, obstacle challenges, and fun games like football toss and soccer kick. Don’t forget to stop by and admire the Child Youth Services Art Gallery. This vibrant children’s art gallery celebrates the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday showcasing young artists’ interpretations of the Army’s legacy, from its founding in 1775 to the present. Through colorful and imaginative creations, the exhibit honors the evolution, values, and heroes of the Army across generations.
- Don’t miss the Peekaboo photo booth and community outreach booths throughout the venue.
- Stop by the AER info booth at the Army 250th celebration on June 14. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the AER Campaign while dunking some of your favorite USAG Stuttgart leaders in a dunk tank set up for the occasion.
- Looking for a challenge? Test your strength during the car deadlift competition hosted by Better Opportunities for Single Servicemembers (BOSS). Each person can find out how many times they can lift the car. Different settings will allow the lifting to be heavier or lighter, so more people can partake. BOSS will provide T-shirts to the participants (first come, first served, limited number of shirts and sizes available). Winners will be announced on the main stage after the event.
- When it’s time to refuel, indulge in an array of mouthwatering options from local food trucks and private organizations.
- As the day winds down, keep the celebration going with an after party at Galaxy Bowling & Entertainment Center from 4 to 9 p.m. Enjoy $2.50 bowling games and shoe rentals, cornhole tournaments, giant Jenga, music by DJ Juicy J, a full bar at Prost on Post, and tasty eats from ShaWINGz.
Community members can stop by from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MWR Special Event Grounds on Panzer Kaserne, in the former elementary schoolyard, between buildings 2917 and 2915.
This event is free and open to all valid U.S. ID cardholders, authorized USAG Stuttgart patrons, and their escorted guests. No registration is required—just bring your enthusiasm and community spirit.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
