Back-to-school season is officially here, and if you’re anything like me, you’re juggling checklists, moving boxes, and maybe even a few butterflies. Whether you’re returning to U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart or arriving for the first time, we want to provide all the information you need at your fingertips. This quick Q-and-A guide should help your family feel confident and ready to dive into the new school year.
Let’s kick off the 2025–2026 school year with excitement, clarity, and a fresh start!
When do DoDEA Stuttgart schools open during the summer?
Schools are open with modified hours from June 12 to Aug. 4, 2025. On Aug. 4, administrators return full-time, and school staff are available by appointment from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Walk-in service is available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What are the steps to register my child for school?
There are three main phases:
- Online Pre-Registration (Phase 1)
Visit https://www.dodea.edu/registration-process.cfm and click the SIS icon. Upload all documentation and include your arrival date in the parent notes to prevent delays. - In-Person Registration (Phase 2)
After arriving, finalize registration at your child’s school or attend a registration session at Stuttgart Elementary’s Multi-Purpose Room from July 29 to 31 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. - Course Enrollment (Phase 3 – Middle School/High School Only)
Once registered, students must meet with school counselors to enroll in courses. Counselors are available starting Aug. 4.
How do I sign up for buses or meal plans?
After registering:
- For Patch Elementary School, Patch Middle School, or Robinson Elementary School, email sbo@dodea.edu.

- Middle School schedules were emailed on June 9.
- High School schedules will be emailed by Aug. 11.
- Elementary assignments are shared at Meet & Greets or during enrollment.
What if my child has an IEP or 504 Plan?
