Army Emergency Relief’s 2024 campaign is happening now

Information from USAG Stuttgart Army Community Service

The 2024 Army Emergency Relief (AER) Donation Campaign takes place from March 1 – June 1.

AER is the official non-profit (501(c)(3)) of the U.S. Army. Its mission is to provide grants, interest-free loans, and scholarships to promote readiness and help relieve financial distress of Soldiers and their Family Members.

In 2023, USAG Stuttgart families (both Active Duty and Retired) received $60,903 in emergency financial assistance, and overall, AER provided over $53 million dollars in assistance.

AER is not funded by the government and is not part of the CFC campaign. Therefore, it relies on donations from Active Duty and Retired Service Members, civilians, and other private sources in order to continue its great work.

You can also choose to make an easy non-recurring donation at the register when checking out at Stuttgart-area AAFES/Exchange locations.

For more information about AER, call Army Community Service at (0)9641-70-596-3362 (DSN ONLY: 314-596-3362).

Non-Army personnel in the Stuttgart community who are in situations of acute financial need may refer to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Air Force Aid Society, or Coast Guard Mutual Assistance.
