Road closures due to A81 expansion: How is it going to affect drivers in Sindelfingen/Böblingen?

The major construction for the extension of the A81 reaches its climax this summer. The bridge in Wolfgang-Brumme-Allee/Rudolf-Diesel- Straße at Motorworld will be the last bridge over the A81 to fall. Demolition is scheduled for the second weekend in August. A temporary bridge will serve as a replacement, which traffic will be able to use beginning on August 4. On-ramp to Stuttgart will be closed

The junctions are being restructured. Sindelfingen-Ost will be downgraded to a semi- junction: It will lose the ramps into and out of the direction of Singen. Work will initially be carried out on the southern side, affecting the exit from Singen, which is already closed, and the slip road towards Stuttgart, which will be closed next. At the moment, traffic between Sindelfingen-Ost and the Stuttgart junction is moving on the outside of the A81 because a canal is being built in the middle. This will soon be finished.
