Bridge renovations impacting traffic starting August 24
A81 bridge over Schickhardstraße in Böblingen is undergoing repairs, and while the traffic on the highway has not been affected, traffic on Schickhardstraße has been reduced to a single lane until mid-October. Bike and pedestrian paths will remain open. Follow the Umleitung signs for detours.
Additionally, four bridges are being replaced at the Böblingen-Hulb interchange starting on Aug. 24. Changes in traffic include altered lane layouts and two closed on-ramps:
- The entrance from Renningen (B 464) onto the A 81 heading toward Stuttgart.
- The entrance from Reutlingen (B 464) onto the A 81 heading toward Singen
A81 closure this weekend
From Aug.28 at 10 p.m. until Aug. 31 at 5 a.m. the A81 will be closed between Sindelfingen-Ost and Böblingen-Hulb intersections, toward Singen. The closure is due to bridge construction.
