Make your own holiday treats

Glühwein Recipe
• 0,75 l  red wine
• 10 cubes of sugar
• 2 oranges
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 20  cloves
Combine wine and sugar in a pot to heat, but do not boil the wine.
Stick cloves into one half of the oranges  (this way you will not have to fish out the cloves separately later). Add them to the heated wine. Next, add the cinnamon sticks and the rest of the oranges (sliced).  Simmer for 10 minutes. Serves three.

Indoor advent wreath
You will need:
Pine branches, cut to 10-15 cm
Thuja branches (flat green pine),cut to  10-15 cm

One straw wreath, covered with green gardener’s tape
One roll of florist wire

Attach wire firmly to wreath; make sure the wire roll stays attached for easier binding.
One by one, attach the pine and thuja branches in bundles evenly, pointing in one direction. Select same-size branches and fan them over the wreath, making sure the top and sides are covered.
Keep going around the whole wreath until you reach the endpoint; you will have to fasten the last branches under the first set.
Attach candle holders to the wreath. These are available at any arts and crafts store. Attach a bow or other decorations as desired.
