The Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced Oct. 18 that Rear Adm. John N. Christenson will be assigned as chief of staff, U.S. European Command, Stuttgart.
Christenson is currently serving as deputy U.S. military representative to NATO Military Committee, Brussels, Belgium.
