The U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart Housing Office announced Sept. 22 a new contract has been awarded to Aspen Consulting that gives Department of Defense civilian employees the same level of service that uniformed service members receive.
This means Aspen personnel will now assist DOD civilian employees with in-office customer service to answer questions and guide clients through the process of locating off-post housing.
Aspen will also:
• Provide transportation and a German-speaking escort to view up to three different rental properties.
• Schedule appointments with potential landlords on behalf of customers.
• Provide verbal interpretation and advisory assistance between customers and landlords.
• Assist with housing inspections (in, pre- and out checks).
With these Aspen services, DOD civilian employees can avoid costly realtor fees that can equal up to two months cold rent.
Housing officials said this service is available to all eligible DOD employees (appropriated fund and nonappropriated fund). Aspen does not service contractors.
