While George Romero, the creator of zombie film cult favorites such as ‘Night of the Living Dead’ and ‘Dawn of the Dead’ insists zombies can’t run, those that participated in the Zombie Run June 8 on Robinson Barracks proved they could. Zombies chased human runners and attempted to turn them into zombies by capturing the humans’ flags worn around their waists. The event was the capstone of the Family and MWR-sponsored RB Block Party that included a bouncy castle, flea market, food, and entertainment by DJ Skitzo.
