Many German businesses or services, such as telephone, cell phone, internet, cable, or gym membership, require a 90-day notification for termination.
It is the responsibility of the customer to notify the business three months in advance of desired contract/service end date. Army Community Service Translation Services can assist with contacting these businesses and working with you to create termination letters. Please note, translation services are unofficial and the assistance adds no liability to ACS.
Schedule a PCS appointment as soon as you know your moving timeline or you have reached your 90-day point. For scheduled appointments, bring copies of the contracts, monthly/yearly billing statements, or your customer numbers and billing information. These documents are required to enable ACS personnel to contact the business and access your account. In-person cancellation of services at stores or on kiosks is not recommended; cancellation in writing is the preferred method.
