The U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart Education Center kicked off Fall in Love with Education Week today with free waffles and a whole lot of knowledge. Counselors and representatives from the Education Center, University of Maryland Global Campus and Embry Riddle shared information about education resources and benefits for service members, families, and civilians while providing free waffles to anyone who stopped by.  This included information about upcoming classes, degree options, and certificate opportunities.

“There is a lot of to take advantage of,” Education Services Officer Jerrica Roach said. “We know they’ll enjoy the waffles, but really we want them to learn about— and use— the opportunities and entitlements that are available for our community members.”

The week’s events continue tomorrow on Panzer Kaserne. An Embry Riddle representative will be available on Feb. 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet with prospective students at Bldg. 2915, Room 402A.

On Feb. 12, the fun moves to the Army Post Office on Patch Barracks from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. UMGC will offer a special valentine surprise for potential new students. Education Center counselors will be available to share information free tutoring, scholarships and grants, and Army Tuition Assistance and credential assistance funding. Plus, you’ll get the opportunity to spin their education trivia wheel for a chance to win a sweet prize!

Stop by during event hours for more information about educational resources in the USAG Stuttgart community. Appointments are not necessary. Walk-ins are encouraged.
