It’s time again for Nijmegen

U.S. military participants can enjoy the opportunity to experience a truly unique event, living and marching proudly with coalition partners from more than 20  nations, all focused on the same goal of successfully completing the 100 mile march.

From the website: The International Four Day Marches Nijmegen (Dutch: Internationale Vierdaagse Afstandsmarsen Nijmegen) is the largest multiple day marching event in the world. It is organized every year in Nijmegen, Netherlands in mid-July as a means of promoting sport and exercise. Participants walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometers daily depending on their age and gender, and, on completion, receive a royally approved medal (Vierdaagsekruis). The participants are mostly civilians, but there are also a few thousand military participants.

There will be a briefing on the 103rd Nijmegen March, 10 a.m.–noon, in the Patch Theater, Jan. 18. Register for the march here.  If you are interested or have questions click here or call 421-4099.
