Over the past few days, commissary patrons may have experienced challenges when using their Community Bank cards.
Community Bank cards have embedded technology which limits payment options with the recent software upgrade of the commissary pin pads. These cards allow “chip” debit with signature only.
This transaction type automatically creates a credit transaction. — In other words, it will process as a credit transaction, not a debit transaction, with no option for cash back.
Patrons who may have a DoD Community Bank card with the limited functionality should contact their issuing bank for further assistance.
