To enhance installation security and our force protection posture, USAG Stuttgart will begin random secondary identification checks at all installation access points, effective January 1, 2026.
All personnel must be prepared to present a secondary form of identification when requested by security personnel. This is in accordance with standing regulations (AR 190-13, AEA 190-16, DoDM 5200.08) which require authorized individuals to be in possession of two valid forms of identification.
This program will be implemented in two phases:
| Phase | Effective Date | Enforcement Action |
| Phase 1: Educational | January 2026 | Personnel unable to provide a valid secondary ID will receive a verbal reminder of the requirement. |
| Phase 2: Full Enforcement | February 2026 | Personnel unable to provide a valid secondary ID will be directed to the Visitor Control Center for manual identity verification before being granted access. |
