A81 near Böblingen-Sindelfingen Autobahn closed April 25 through 26
This weekend starting Saturday, April 25, at 10 p.m. through Sunday, April 26, 5 a.m., the A81 Autobahn between Sindelfingen-Ost and Böblingen-Hulb will be closed in both directions. This was announced by Deges, the company responsible for the motorway expansion. The reason for the overnight closure is the relocation of the concrete paver from the north side of the A81 to the south side in the area of the Böblingen-Ost interchange. The large machine will remain in operation there until the weekend to construct the new concrete roadway towards the Stuttgart interchange. Traffic heading towards Stuttgart will be diverted at the Böblingen-Hulb interchange and routed via the district road to the Stuttgart-Vaihingen interchange. Traffic heading towards Singen will be diverted at the Sindelfingen-East interchange. The exits are clearly signposted; traffic planners request special attention in the area of the junctions. Daytime sun and frosty nights – weather forecast for Baden-Württemberg
Anyone traveling in the northern half of Baden-Württemberg today should expect rain and showers. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the skies should clear up again towards evening. The south of the state should see more sunshine. Highs are forecast to reach around 8 degrees Celsius on the Swabian Alps and between 10 and 16 degrees Celsius elsewhere. A moderate northeasterly wind will blow, with occasional mild to strong gusts. During Tuesday night, the skies should become increasingly clear and dry, with lows of 0 to 4 degrees Celsius. Widespread ground frost is possible. Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny. Temperatures are forecast to rise to 12 degrees Celsius in the Swabian Alps. S-Bahn service reduced for DFB Cup (soccer tournament) and Spring Festival on Thursday
On Thursday, the S-Bahn will reduce its service – coinciding with the VfB Stuttgart (local soccer team) match at the Spring Festival. With very little notice, Deutsche Bahn (DB) has announced work on the S-Bahn main line in Stuttgart’s city center overnight into Friday. This will result in “significant disruptions,” as DB writes, affecting both Spring Festival visitors and football fans attending the DFB Cup semi-final between VfB Stuttgart and SC Freiburg at the Stuttgart Arena on Thursday evening. More speeding tickets issued in Baden-Württemberg resulting in 26 driving bans

The figures from Speedweek 2026 are alarming: Within seven days, the Aalen Police Headquarters recorded 499 speeding violations. The Rems-Murr district leads the way. The figures serve as a stark reminder of the problems on the roads: 499 speeding violations in just seven days. May market in Leinfelden on May 3
Leinfelden invites visitors to enjoy a nice shopping stroll at the traditional May market on Sunday, May 3, around the Neuer Markt and Echterdinger Straße. You can find classic market stalls and delicious food as well as an area for kids with a bungee trampoline. Participating retail stores in the area will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. The City anticipates traffic so arriving on public transit is encouraged.

The CINELATINO film festival comes back to Stuttgart for the 33rd year
The CINELATINO film festival brings exceptional cinematic voices from Spain and Latin America to the region this week continuing a 33-year tradition from the 22nd till the 29th of April. The program with host around 20 films and screen in Tübingen, Stuttgart, Freiburg and Reutlingen. Visitors are invited to experience intercultural encounters in a relaxed atmosphere. This year, the film festival will have a country focus on Uruguay and a political focus on human rights in Latin America.
