Fasching (Carnival) dates in the Böblingen district

Helau, Narro, and aha: When and where the fools are out and about in the district

The fifth season is earlier and shorter this year than last year. That means we simply have to celebrate Carnival with even more enthusiasm to make up for it. In the Böblingen district, there are lots of events organized by guilds, groups, and carnival clubs. The editorial team, some of whom are also very fond of carnival, has done its best to list the most important dates below – but it’s not foolproof.

A special event will take place on Saturday, January 24, in Steinenbronn: a twilight parade. It starts at 4:33 p.m.

Weil der Stadt is a stronghold of Fasnet – the AHA carnival guild, with around 1,500 members, therefore organizes a large program for the festive days every year. Highlights include the carnival mass on January 24 at 6:30 p.m., the carnival parade with storming of the town hall on February 8, and the carnival meeting in the Klösterle on February 12.

On Sunday, February 1, the carnival parade in Ehningen will take place starting at 1:31 p.m. Refreshments will be available starting at 11 a.m. in the gymnasium and festival hall, as well as in the heated party tent in front of the hall and at the outdoor stands on Rathausplatz and Marktplatz.

On Tuesday, February 10, at 2 p.m., the horse market parade will take place in Leonberg.

No mayor is safe during the storming of the town hall

And on February 12, the storming of the town halls will take place: In Aidlingen, it will start at 4 p.m. On the same day, the fools from Blau-Weiss Sindelfingen will storm the town hall of their mayor Markus Kleemann, his premiere – starting at 5 p.m. In Gärtringen, too, the fools will storm the town hall on this day: it starts at 5:17 p.m. In Böblingen, the storming of the town hall will take place at around 3:30 p.m. – the Böblingen kindergartens will also be taking part again. The fools in Deckenpfronn will also take over the town hall on February 12, with the foolish storming beginning at 6 p.m. And, of course, Schönaich Town Hall will also be firmly in the hands of the fools from February 12. At 5:17 p.m. – the craziest time of day – the Gärtringen fools will storm the town hall with all their might. And Herrenberg’s mayor, Nico Reith, will also be deposed: the storming of the town hall will begin there at 5 p.m. But it’s not just politicians who get their comeuppance: the soccer players of SpVgg Holzgerlingen are once again inviting everyone to the Hotzigen Dorschdich on February 12 at 8:30 p.m. Then there will be another Rambazamba party in the town hall.

On Friday, February 13, the twilight parade in Gärtringen will take place at 4:16 p.m. An after-parade party will be held in the Schwarzwaldhalle on Steingrubenweg, with admission costing eight euros.

The city will be particularly crowded when Weil der Stadt the jesters roll through the streets of the old town with dozens of friendly Fasnets groups and some spectacular floats during the big parade on Sunday, February 15, starting at 2 p.m.

On February 16, the Rose Monday parade will take place in Böblingen at around 1 p.m. The organizers are hoping for the best winter weather: sunshine and blue skies for the subsequent party on Elbenplatz. On Tuesday, February 17, at 1 p.m., the Grün-Weiß Böblingen association will once again invite visitors to the Kongresshalle for a children’s carnival with music, games, and lots of surprises. And on February 16, the Hausemer Schnaidrebbler invite you to the Rose Monday Ball in the Schönbuchhalle in Hildrizhausen.

On February 17, Shrove Tuesday, the Fasnetsumzug parade will take place through the old town of Herrenberg, followed by the burning of the gnome on the market square. The Aidlinger Narrengruppen invite you to the Hanselverbrennung on Rathausplatz at 7 p.m. on the same evening (February 17). And things will also be heating up in Deckenpfonn: starting at 6 p.m., Fasnet will be burned for this season.

Stuttgart’s Fasching parade will traditionally take place on Tuesday, Feb 17 which will start at approx. 2pm through downtown Stuttgart.
