Army Post Office (APO) services on U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart continue to experience severe staffing shortages. To mitigate the impact, postal finance services, including the ability to accept some parcels, will be limited at Kelley Barracks effective Wednesday, July 30.
Until additional staff can be secured, a modified service for outgoing mail will be offered on Wednesdays and Fridays only to allow customers on Kelley Barracks to mail outgoing prepaid parcels and send parcels to other APOs. Prepaid parcels are parcels with postage that has been paid prior to being dropped off at the Army Post Office. Some examples are those with labels purchased from Pirate Ship, pre-paid U.S. Postal Service Click-n-Ship, or Shippo. Parcels to other APOs that do not require paid postage will also be accepted.
Customers must attach a prepaid USPS label and customs form to their parcel and present their ID before dropping off the package.
Stamp and money order sales will not be possible, but customers may order stamps directly from USPS or purchase them from postal facilities on other U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart installations.
Drop-off service begins July 30 and will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m on Wednesdays and Fridays only.
