March 15, 11 a.m., St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Hunt
“Why, it’s March you say? St. Patrick’s Day? It’s time to go, it’s time to move! I must hide my pot of gold! A riddle shall tell when and where you might find me and my pot of gold.”

March 18, 11:30 a.m., National Quilting Day
USO Stuttgart teams up with The Black Forest Quilt Guild to celebrate National Quilting Day in our center on Panzer Kaserne. Come check out the beautiful works of art from these quilters and learn about the creative process of quilting. Representatives from the guild will be available in our multipurpose room to answer questions and help you create a small project to take home.

March 19, 6 p.m., Photography Class – Intro to Macro Photography
Register to attend this free class. Learn how to unlock the fantastic world of macro photography. Instructor Emerson McArthur details the gear, techniques, and software you’ll need to begin capturing extreme detail in everything from flowers to insects to jewelry. Create larger than life images with intricate detail using methods that will be demonstrated in this class. Anyone attending should know basics of ISO, Aperture, Shutter. Should have a lens capable of macro or extension. Or just come and join and learn a new aspect of photography in the macro world.

March 20, 3 p.m., Coins 4 Kids
Learn all about earning, spending, and saving in an interactive and fun way! This month’s class is for Elementary aged kids. We will be making banks!

Volunteer of the Month
Congrats to Christina Borzotra, this month’s Volunteer of the Month!  In the month of February Christina contributed 164 hours to the USO, bringing her lifetime hours (since August 2018) to over 250 hours!! From cleaning the USO center floor to ceiling to planning movie nights and other upcoming events, Christina is a forward thinking volunteer who is eager to help and passionate about the USO mission. She became our center Cricut expert after teaching herself the in’s and out’s of the machine that makes crafting a dream. We are fortunate to have a volunteer like Christina who is so thoughtful and generous with her time. We are truly grateful for all that you do! Thank you!!
