The exhibition titled “Westwärts to the East” is for visitors to learn about the German-American relationships through the arts. Contemporary American and German artists aim to build a bridge between Stuttgart and its sister city St. Louis, Mo. Their works reflect on an exchange program between artists from St. Louis and Stuttgart this summer.
Participating artists from St. Louis: David Johnson, Alena Tunprasert-Ahrens and Ken Wood
Participating artists from Stuttgart: Julia Wenz, Peter Franck and Christian Eickhoff
The exhibition will open Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Stuttgart’s Rathaus with performances of the Silver Arrow cheerleaders and a brass band from Wangen’s volunteer youth fire department.
The exhibition runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 21 and is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. The exhibition is located on the 4th floor at Stuttgart’s Rathaus.
