VA Benefits Advisor in Stuttgart March 6-30

Veterans Affairs Benefits Advisor, Drew Schumann, will be available for appointments in Stuttgart, March 6- 30 at the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Center located in Bldg. 2915, room 419, Panzer Kaserne.

The VA Advisor helps service members who are separating or retiring learn what they need to know about VA and VA benefits. He will have benefits briefings starting March 6, and is available during normal duty hours to have one-on-one assistance appointment sessions.

March 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Gain information about the broad range of VA benefits available and requirements for eligibility to receive those benefits. You will also learn about E-Benefits, MyHealthVA, and how to start a claim.

Retiree Transition Overview, Retiree MOS Crosswalk, and Retiree Financial Planning

March 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Retiree-specific seminar, open to service members retiring with 20 or more years of service. During the seminars, personnel will receive an explanation of the transition process; identify skills, experience, credentials, education, and training obtained in the military and how they can cross over to civilian life; and create a financial plan for success post military.

Retiree VA Benefits Briefing I & II

March 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Gain information about the broad range of VA benefits available and requirements for eligibility to receive those benefits. Also learn about E-Benefits, MyHealthVA, and how to start a claim.

Senior Department of Labor Employment Workshop

March 14-16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This workshop covers how to conduct a job search, creating a resume that showcases individual skills and experience, and interviewing techniques to set personnel up for success.

Entrepreneurship Track (Boots to Business) Class

March 22-23 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For those wanting to start a business or franchise, the class will review marketing strategies, finances, tax and legal issues, and help to create a business plan.

Accessing Higher Education Planning Seminar

March 26-27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For those pursuing a college education, find degree programs, and learn how to apply for financial aid (FAFSA), loans, grants, scholarships, and transfer military credits.

Career Technical Training Track

March 28-29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For those interested in trade, technical, or vocational training, receive help in selecting a reputable technical school and compare programs. Learn about admission requirements, how to transfer credits, the costs of technical schools, and how the GI Bill works.
