Unit Voting Assistance Officer Training

Federal Voting Assistance Workshop April 10

A trainer from the Federal Voting Assistance Program is coming to Stuttgart April 10 to conduct a workshop at the Panzer Fire House from 9-11 a.m.

The workshop will consist of interactive, hands-on training on how to use the new forms and other voting resources available. The workshop will provide timely information about absentee registration and the voting process for Uniformed Service members, their families, and other overseas voters.  It will equip Voting Assistance Officers with the resources critical to effectively performing their duties in assisting citizens covered by the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA).

This training is mandatory for Unit Voting Assistance Officers (per DoDI 1000.04, dtd. 13 Sep 2012, Encl. 4, Paragraph 2t) who will be given priority in registration.  To register, contact the Installation Voting Assistance Officer at DSN 431-2865 or email debra.m.peake.civ@mail.mil as soon as possible by March 12.
