Give Thanks for Thanksgiving with USO Stuttgart

Nominate a family or service member to receive everything needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal at home in their own kitchen. Forms are available at the USO Center, or email

Community members are invited to donate, the shopping list of food items needed are as follows:  Turkey Roasting Pan (16 1/8 x 11 3/4 x 2 7/8), Canned Green Beans, Box of Brown Sugar, Box of Mashed Potatoes, Jar/Packet of Turkey Gravy, Canned Cranberries, Canned Creamed Corn, Canned Sweet Potatoes/Yams, Bag of Mini Marshmallows, Commissary Gift Card (Any Denomination accepted).

Donation Deadline: Nov. 17 at the USO Center or at food collection tables outside of the Patch commissary, offered most weekend days through Thanksgiving.

Pickup: Dinners for nominated persons are available for pickup Nov. 18 at the Patch Commissary between 1- 2:30 p.m. A full turkey is accompanied by all the traditional sides ready to take home.

Turkey Shoot Golf Tournament Nov. 18

Join the tournament at the Stuttgart Golf Course, Kornwestheim from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Entry fee is $30 for Annual Fee cardholders and $40 for U.S. ID cardholders. Entry includes green fees, golf cart prizes, range balls, and a turkey for the top 80% scores. For information, contact 07141-879-151.

Thanksgiving Lunch at the Panzer Dining Facility Nov. 21

The 1-10 Special Forces (A) Dining Facility (DFAC) on Panzer Kaserne is offering a special Thanksgiving themed lunch beginning at 11 a.m. All ID cardholders are welcome. Note: The Panzer dining facility accepts U.S. dollars only and is open Monday- Friday serving breakfast and lunch. Discount rates are available for dependents of E4 and below. BOSS Thanksgiving Dinner Nov. 21

Single and unaccompanied service members can enjoy the delicious taste of home with a free Thanksgiving dinner at the Galaxy Bowling and Entertainment Center on Panzer Kaserne at 6 p.m. Enjoy door prizes, free bowling and shoe rentals, and prizes for top bowling scores in a fun and festive atmosphere. USO Stuttgart Free Thanksgiving Dinner Nov. 23- NEW LOCATION

All ID cardholders are invited to enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal with fellow community members at the 1-10 Special Forces (A) Dining Facility (DFAC) on Panzer Kaserne. The DFAC is located opposite the fitness center, past Building 2949 parade field, through the 1-10 gate. Doors open at noon, and dinner is served from 1-2:30 p.m.

Those working on Thanksgiving Day may register to receive ready-to-eat meals between 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Thanksgiving Weekend Trip to Prague Nov. 24-26

MWR Tours is taking Stuttgart military community members to Prague for the weekend. The trip departs Panzer Kaserne Nov. 24 at 3 a.m., and returns Nov. 26 at approximately 10 p.m. Trip includes transportation, two overnights in a 4-star hotel, one breakfast on the road and two breakfast buffets in the hotel, six hour English speaking guide (Friday) of Old City and Castle, and entrance fees.

Cost: $599 per adult (double occupancy), $100 single supplement, $300 per child 3 – 11 years old (sharing room with two adults), $200 per child 0 – 3 years old (bus seat only)
