From Thursday, Dec 17 through at least Jan 10, 2021, late night S-Bahn and SSB (Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen) night buses (lines beginning with “N”) will cease operations.

The pause in operations is a result of the new COVID lockdown measures that took effect on December 16, in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg and will affect weekend late night S-Bahn trains and the night trains in the regional train service which only operate on weekends.

Night runs of individual bus lines connecting to night S-trains will also be cancelled and the night buses in the VVS (N lines) and district of Göppingen will also be discontinued until further notice.

From December 23, all buses will operate according to the vacation schedule – the day on which the Christmas vacations would typically have begun. At that time, the U19 and U8 light rail lines will also run on a limited basis.

The school bus lines, which are marked with an “A” will no longer run, because of the school closures.

More information (in German) is available at www.vvs.de.
