COVID screening-related traffic changes on Patch Barracks

The above traffic pattern is in effect from Monday, October 19, to facilitate COVID-19 testing at the Stuttgart Army Health Clinic.

The COVID Testing/Screening wait line will now stage in the “lower” parking lot next to the Patch Commissary (Bldg. 2350), as depicted in the above graphic, starting Tuesday, October 20.

Traffic patterns will continue to change as the garrison improves the drive-thru screening queueing process. This page will be updated to reflect any future revisions.

U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart Directorate of Emergency Services

Noticeable changes to where customers wait to be seen by medical staff for COVID screening have been introduced at Patch Barracks for COVID Testing/Screening.

Customers visiting after Tuesday, October 20, will now stage in the “lower” parking lot next to the Patch Commissary (Bldg. 2350).

The traffic pattern has been reversed in this parking lot, meaning customers will enter the lot near the intersection of Pennsylvania Str. & Ohio Str. (near the Patch Community Club) and exit the parking lot near the U.S. Army Health Clinic Stuttgart.

Military Police and a mobile message board will be present on Tuesday and for the remainder of the week to help community members adjust to this new traffic pattern. Clinic staff will greet and direct COVID Testing/Screening customers to the appropriate waiting line and then to the screening/testing area next to the clinic.

The two-way traffic pattern along Pennsylvania Str. between the U.S. Army Health Clinic Stuttgart and Patch Community Club will resume Wednesday, October 20.  There is no passing the COVID Testing/Screening wait line unless specifically delineated by cones or other traffic control devices.

As a reminder, community members should not attempt to line up for COVID Testing/Screening on roadways or in the newly designated waiting lot before 7:30 a.m. on days that the clinic is open for testing/screening.  Military Police will direct anybody waiting along the roadway or in the designated parking lot before 7:30 a.m. to depart immediately and return later.

Please drive carefully and be courteous as USAG Stuttgart works to maintain its current level of COVID Testing/Screening while minimizing hazards to traffic and enabling snow/ice removal as the winter months approach.
